MVIFilePlus: Customisation Solutions for Advanced Printing
MVIFilePlus is a is a range of
products of non standard solutions for advanced printing.
For standard solutions we recommend the SQue 10.x
product, which works well under most conditions.
Yet, to use the full range of possibilities of your
printer you might want to do more or different things than possible with
the standard SQue solution.
Therefore we propose the MVIFilePlus
product.
MVIFilePlus is not only limited to UNIX/Linux environments: some solutions work also in MS Windows environments.
Some of the MVIFilePlus products can be shipped and
then installed by yourself. Some, however, would require on-site support by MV-Informatique.
Currently this is only possible for tender business cases,
except for France.

The following MVIFilePlus products are currently available:
Filters to change finishing behaviour For example: change the paper format (Letter to A4, for example). Or change the input tray. Or send output to a specific output bin, etc. This way you would not have to modify the main application as the filter will work inside a printer queue. Printing with overlays SQue has some support of overlay printing in PCL. For more advanced cases, sometimes including development of the overlays a MVIFilePlus is required. This may happen if you want to replace a matrix printer with pre-printed forms by a laser printer. A more detailed description. Optimised printer queues Sometimes printing on laser printers does not reach the desired output speed, or in connection with some UNIX systems some jobs would come out in a different order than expected. MVIFilePlus proposes a solution for theses cases. A more detailed description. CPCA Server with Samba on Linux When a Linux server with Samba is employed within a Windows environment, the Canon Windows driver may be uploaded on the Linux server. If, however, you would like to use department accounting, a MVIFilePlus solution will help: The CPCA server has the possibility to fix the user id, password and/or mailbox based on the Windows login.
